A week of Firsts!

On Saturday, we drive up to Sebastpol to pick up boxes of apples at Walker Ranch.  We bought 40 pounds of apples.  You might ask yourself, 'What would they want 40 pounds of apples for?"  Well when they are only 55 cents a pound, we will find things to use them for.  We'll eat them, juice them, sauce them and make some yummy desserts!  We want this to be another family tradition of ours.  We have now picked apricots, nectarines, blackberries and now apples.  We love our fruit!

Hannah did a good job of sleeping while we were driving.  Her cousin, Ari, entertained her along with me, when she was awake and of course we had to pull over twice to feed her and use the bathroom, but overall it was very nice.

Hannah loves to have her eyes covered when she is trying to get to sleep.  It helps her settle down faster.  I make sure it doesn't cover her mouth or nose and if it does she just moves her head to the side or moves her head to get it off.

Grandpa Fox fixed the rocking horse and so here is Hannah trying it out!  When I asked her if she liked riding it, she smiled and stuck her tongue out in excitement!   Look how nicely she is holding on to the handrails!
As I was getting Hannah dressed for bedtime, she was getting mighty hungry and started sucking on her fingers which then progressed to both sets of fingers.  I thought this was pretty funny.
On Thursday, Hannah and I met the Tunte Lisa, Isadora and Thalia at the park and played for a while.  Hannah tried out the swing and had fun being next to Thalia.

Paris let Hannah play on the computer and she tried to type ( not really) but had fun touching the keys.  She likes to look at the monitor to see what is happening, she also likes to watch TV.  We try not to let her watch it, so it is usually off when she is awake.

The other day, Paris was watching past footage of  our video journals.  I brought Hannah in to let Paris watch her while I prepared dinner and she became engrossed with the picture and sound coming from the video.  I think she recognized my voice and liked the colors from the video. Paris would love to have her become a video editor like him.  He tells her what to do and shows her all his equipment, it's cute.

I love that she likes her eye's covered! My kids need a dark room too, and frankly, so do I!

She looks too cute in those sunglasses!
